Anyone above 18 years of age and who is a resident of one of the eligible countries can apply for the Nova x Mercuryo Debit Card, pending approval of their KYC verification.

How do I apply for the Polkadot Debit Card?

In the Nova Wallet app select “Manage Debit Card” from the assets screen, and then select “Issue card”. 
When creating a new card, you will be prompted to enter the amount of funds (in EUR) that you wish to fund your card with. It is recommended that you have at least 30 EUR of DOT in your Nova Wallet account before starting this process.

You will then be prompted to complete the KYC process, which requires you to submit a valid identity document and pass a liveliness check. If you submitted a valid (and legible) identity document and passed the liveliness check, the whole KYC process should take around 5 minutes.

After you complete the KYC process, Nova Wallet will prompt you to sign a transaction to fund your Debit Card with the correct amount of DOT tokens.

You will need to wait ~5 minutes for your Debit Card to be issued.

How do I top-up my Polkadot Debit Card?

In the Nova Wallet app select “Manage Debit Card” from the assets screen, and then select “Top Up”.

You will then be prompted to input the amount of funds (in EUR) that you wish to top your card up with. You need to ensure that you have the corresponding value in DOT tokens on your Nova Wallet account.

Press “Continue” and then Nova Wallet will automatically prompt you to sign a transaction which sends the corresponding amount of DOT to top up your card - after a few minutes your card balance will have been topped up.
